Russell's Wild and Crazy Adventures

Yeah I know. I'm jumpin on the bandwagon and doing the trendy thing of starting a blog. I figure with all the pictures that I take whenever I do anything, this'd be cool.

Lots of snow!!

csprings didn't get snowed on and the Peak looked awesome, so George and I made a last-minute decision to try and summit the Peak on Sat afternoon. But just an hour's drive away from csprings, there was a TON of snow on the ground. Fortunately, my car is totally badass and the all-wheel drive was killing the drive and riding over some huge ditches like they were nothing! It was awesome!!!

Maybe our first hint that we probably weren't going to make it all the way to the top was the group of snowboarders (!) that were looking for some fresh powder. Our second hint should have been that we totally walked by the trail at first because nobody else had been on it so it was completely covered in snow! Still, we pushed on and were treated to typical beautiful views of Colorado. George and I talked about it a ton...how incredibly humbling it is being outdoors in Colorado because it's so vast and pretty. Something you just have to experience to understand. Somewhere along the way, the shorts that I was wearing became very insufficient clothing and I stopped feeling my legs, so we decided to abort the Pikes Peak mission and just climb around the base of the Crags. There were some sweet icicle formations that we snacked by.

So even though we totally sucked at our goal of reaching Pikes Peak, definitely an amazing, fun day. Great trail, awesome views, good company and convo. peace!

Let's Go Mets!!

Seagal, George, I, and Bill "Ritchie" May went up to the Mets game on Thursday night. They were playing some team called the Rockies up in Denver. I'm not really sure where the Rockies are from though because there were a ton of Mets fans up there making just as much noise. Unfortunately, the Mets scored too many runs in the first two games (21 to 8) and didn't save enough for game 3. Mets lost 8-4, but we had sweet seats, spent lots of money on stadium food, and got treated to a real gem by Mets pitcher Oliver Perez (go back to Pittsburgh!!)
