6/18 - Brewers 5, Giants 4
But the Brewers stadium is great! Prob our new fave. It's way awesome on the inside, and the retractable dome came in very handy today to protect us from the torrential downpour. We were in the rightfield bleachers for this game, in hopes to catch a Barry Bonds homerun ball. And then of course we'd sell it for a couple grand on ebay. But of course we were booing that character at the same time we wanted him to hit a ball to us. Makes sense, right?
Alas, no Bonds homerun on the night. He ended up with two walks, a groundout, and a double. LOTS of boos though. We kinda felt bad for the guy. How can he be having any fun playing ball now? And seeing him play in person really makes it real. The guy has to be miserable being the most hated man in baseball. But I guess the guy set himself up for it by being a jerk, huh?
Great game in a great environment. The Brewers unleashed a hot pitching prospect for his major league debut. Yovani Gallardo. He took the win and also had an RBI double in his first at-bat. Pretty sweet. The fans were super great, and the 40+k really appreciated his performance.
Before the game, we had lunch in Chicago with Dragon's intern buddy Russ. He interns with the Cubs now and we had lunch right around Wrigley at Murphy's Bleachers. We took a walk around the stadium and took a brief pause in front of the Harry Carey statue where we met an extremely talkative bellydancer who goes by the name "Slave". Yeah. Totally weird.
Pics are super annoying to put up on this blog, so you'll just have to check the facebook album: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2109358&l=e839c&id=1528364
