October baseball
So I came home this weekend for METS PLAYOFF BASEBALL booooyyyyyeeeeeeeeeee!!!! (it gets the extra emphasis bc I don't know when I'll get to say that again) For a secong though, it didn't look like it was going to happen. My plane was supposed to land at 730p at LaGuardia for the published game start at 8p. Of course my flight take-off out of Chicago was delayed 1.5 hrs, but we still landed at 8p...my mom picked me up and dropped me off at Shea, and bam! I only missed the 1st inning. Sweeeet!!!
We were sitting in the 3rd to last row, but it didn't matter to me...it was still awesome!!! The electricity of baseball in NY (Mets or Yanks) is unlike any other, esp in October, and it was so great to be surrounded by 57k fans just as pumped up for every pitch, every play. I went with my bro, sis, and dragon, and we led the Mets faithful in cheers of victory.
Great game, too. Tom Glavine leads the Mets to a 4-1 victory to take a 2-0 series lead over the Dodgers. After the game, we took the obligatory picture in front of the field...and then we randomly met up with 4 guys that we swam with growing up! What are the odds?? There were 57k+ people at the game, and as we're walking down a ramp that criss-crosses with another ramp, we bump into these guys as they're walking down the opposite ramp.
I love NY baby!!! Check out this vid from the game (the chants are "Jose!" for Jose Reyes):
