Russell's Wild and Crazy Adventures

Yeah I know. I'm jumpin on the bandwagon and doing the trendy thing of starting a blog. I figure with all the pictures that I take whenever I do anything, this'd be cool.

Call me Larry

Today was going to be an awesome Colorado day - the incline with dragon and then Green Mtn Falls hike with Seagal and his boys. The incline was great...up in 33 min even with stopping to talk for about a min or two. I had to meet Seagal at my house at noon so I sprinted down Barr Trail. I was making incredible time and felt great on the run...definitely thinking about how perfect it was to do GMF.

As I was increasing my speed coming out of a turn, my left foot slipped under me on some loose gravel and I twisted my ankle big time. It happened so fast that I couldn't help but lay out completely and slide head first and then roll onto my back. I was on a mission to get down the hill so I got up immediately and started running but almost fell on my face again. My left ankle is def swollen now and I lost some skin on my palms. Of course I still had like a mile to go so I hobbled, skipped, walked the rest of the way.

I talked to Lar on my way back and he gave me good advice on how to make it heal quickly. I guess I'll be layin low for a while. blah.

Well this ankle sprain is working out just fine actually. It's a great excuse to not do anything (even though today was def the nicest day of the year so far). But I also realized that if I just hop on my right leg, I get an incredible workout! So I'm going to have one huge leg and one really wimpy one.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Going back down the incline is the safer way and the better workout. Now that Russell is out of commission, I just have to figure out a way to beat Larry. I think my best chance is to invent a rocket pack between now and the race.

    dragon.

I'm down, but not out! Don't underestimate the one-legged hopping action.
