NYC Pizza

Something about NYC pizza is just mmm mmm good more so than other kinds of pizza. Some people dig the thin crust, some say it's something in the water that makes the tomato sauce tastier, others are just NY'ers who don't like to admit that inferior cities might have better pizza. On this brief, 48 hour visit to the home city, I've made the most of my time and have had two pizza places with two diff friends, with a potential third and fave pizza place before I leave. Can't beat it!

John's Pizzeria - My boy Mike took me here last night. There's regularly a line out the door for this place. Very chill, comfy atmosphere. We got the large #41. Real fresh ingredients, but flabby crust (and I'm a big crust guy).
Rosa's Pizza - 5526 69th St, Woodside NY - Great variety of pizza...the Hawaiian pizza is a fave!
Amore's Pizza - all-time favorite! We grew up with this stuff and it was so perfect after swim practice or after meets. Totally tasty!

Road trip back to CO tomorrow!!

Only girly-men like New York pizza. It's the dainty thin crust.

Have a slice of Chicago pie -- REAL Chicago pizza, from Gino's East or Miller Pizza Station, not that Old Chicago's bulls@#$ -- and then we can talk.

Come on Russ, who are you trying to kid? You and I both know that the best pizza is made in the kitchen of St. Hilda's College, Melbourne, Australia ;-)

Turbs, while I love my crust, Chicago style is just too overpowering with its massive crust and a side of cheese and sauce. I mean, pizza is all about a balance between the three. I admit that I've never had "real" chicago style, and the final verdict will wait until then, but I have my doubts.

And Alana, I gotta give that one to you Aussies...I never thought that you guys could dish out such a mean pizza! Who knew?? Definitely some real tasty stuff. It was good even the morning after...and I don't even know what was on it!
